We’ve put up a few acoustic tracks that were recorded by Jolien Hagens on May 23, 2010 in Amersfoort with a handycam. Soundquality is quite bootleg-like, but still very listenable. It includes a brandspanking new track that will probably end up (in an electric version though) on our upcoming full length album! And best of all: it’s free of charge! So what are you waiting for? Go to http://noir.bandcamp.com and download those songs!

It has been four really hot days, but Belgium was amazing…again! Our thanks go out to all of you who came out to see us! Special thanks go out to Emilie, Sofie and Patrick for their company and of course our ex-drummer Mark and ex-manager Daniel for coming down from Groningen to Belgium to spend a few days with us!

One of the founding members of the Dutch rockband Noir, Mark Gerlsma, has decided to quit as a drummer. Mark will not be able to commit to Noir for a full 100%, because he has been offered a fulltime job as a physiotherapist. He has been a driving force of the band since 2005.
Mark will be replaced by Sven Jurgens. Sven already filled in for Mark during a few shows in The Netherlands and Belgium last year. He also plays in That Sunday Smell and Ortega.
Noir is a band founded in 2005. The band has played a little less than a hundred shows in the Netherlands and abroad since then and has played at festivals like Eurosonic and the Liberationfestival. Last year, Noir set up the project ‘The Berlin Wall of Sound’. Noir went to Berlin, together with more than 170 (bass-)guitarplayers from The Netherlands and Germany, to create a wall of sound at a place where the Berlin Wall once stood. This happened exactly 20 years after the fall of the Wall, on the 9th of November, 2009.
